Welcome to the 51st Anniversary of the Peach Day's Races.
Join us for one of the oldest races in Utah! The race started in 1974. The original length of the course was about 10 miles which ran on the east, south, west, and north sides of town. During the years the course changed for various reasons, and now the length is approximately 10 kilometers, (6 miles). In 2013 we added a new race. A 1 Mile Race for 6th through 8th graders. Then in 2018, we added the 5K race, (2.9-3.0 miles). Both races will be offered again this year. In all over 200+ participate in the race(s) year to year. Due to Covid we missed 2020 so 2024 marks the 50th year of running some version of the race.
The 10K and 5K races will both start at 8:00 AM sharp or once Main Street has been cleared. When the 5K and 10K participants have gone past the Brigham City Tabernacle and Brigham City Temple, we will start the 1 Mile race.
For more information, go to http://www.goldenspiketrackclub.com or click on the logo at the top of the page. After online registration closes on Tuesday night, we will have the day of registration on Saturday Morning from 7:00 to 7:55 am. Please register early.
Pre-registered racers can pick up their bib number at the start/finish line on Saturday morning, Sept. 7th, from 6:45 am to 7:45 am. The address is 58 N Main Street.
***We will be offering four different options. ***
A) Race fee without a shirt and with a finishers medal. ($22)
B) Race fee with a finishers medal, tech shirt, men's and women's sizes. ($33)
C) Race fee with a finishers medal, with a tech shirt, unisex fit. ($35)
D) Race fee with a finishers medal, with a hoodie, unisex fit. ($43)
***There will be a finishers medal again this year. The 3.5 inch will be for the finishers medal, the 4.5 will be fore top three in age divisions in the 5K, 10K, and 6th-8th Grade division. The 5.5 is for the overall winners in the 5K and 10K.
***There are only 300 finisher medals to be handed out to everyone who participates.***
***Register by August 18th to guarantee a shirt size of your choice.***
***On August 18th at 11:59 pm the long sleeve option and hoodie option will also disappear.***
***Beginning August 19th, registration prices will start to increase. There will be a graduated registration fee, the longer you wait the more it costs. Please sign up early.***
Explanation for the higher costs.
A) As part of the registration fee, we are excited to be able to give each racer a finishers medal.
B) Over the years we have tried to keep the costs affordable. Unfortunately, this year we have had to increase the cost of racers wanting to purchase a shirt. There are now 3 different shirt options, each at different price levels.
C) The race is acting as a fundraiser for the BEHS cross country teams and FBLA club. Without the help of these students, this race wouldn't be possible.
